Hello I'm Butter! I mostly mix and sometimes sing :D I love working with new people and id love to help you with any project!

Currently I won't be accepting any permacollab/CB invites due to being busy, but I hope to finish current projects soon to work on more things!

Please note that mixing isn't magic and it's only to enhance!

Guidelines

  • Dm me on Twitter (@yaoibutter) or Discord (Butter #9833) for inquiries.

  • Let me know the song you're doing, whether it's full size or tv size, your lines, an onvo to reference (link or file) and any extra requests (artificial harms, special effects, etc.) I will give you a price estimate after checking your lines!

  • I am willing to work with any sample format, bit depth and file format! However, I ask you to make sure that your lines are at least synced to the offvo/onvo. (I may ask you to sync your lines if they aren't) If your lines are pre-edited, please export to 44.1 kHz and 16/24 bit .wav files.

  • Make sure you're not singing too far away or too close, and that your lines aren't peaking. If possible, cover your recording space to lessen roomverb. If you'd really like to noise remove and clean up your files yourself, please feel free to do so but let me know beforehand! However I am not responsible for any noise/artifacts amplified after the mixing process.

  • I will do up to 1 editing update for tuning, 1 for timing, and 2 for mixing; when you give critique, please give me timestamps and all critique at once if possible! I will try my best.

  • I will take 50% in the beginning through PayPal and the rest after the final mix has been sent. You may cancel the commission up to two days after I've received the files. After two days, the commission is non-refundable. However, I will refund your commission if I exceed the max. time listed on the prices page.

  • Please credit my twitter handle and youtube channel for the upload! They're linked in the main page.

Disclaimers

  • These commissions are best suited for abandoned projects that you'd like mix done, old vocals that you like and want a quick mix of, short one-shots that you want to hear quickly mixed. Hence, they're priced accordingly. Please do not expect an extremely polished, professional mix!

  • I have a mix style; please keep in mind I may not be able to replicate someone else's style.

  • I may refuse the commission after receiving the files if I feel that I won't be able to mix it. (I will definitely give a reason, e.g your mic is peaking too much at too many places, and you may come back if you've done redos or need help with recording technique! I'm more than happy to help out with your recording.)

  • I am very slow at timing and hence I've priced them accordingly; I greatly prefer tuning or mixing instead!

Full Size Prices (may vary for genre and complexity.)

Solos (2 weeks max)
Tune: 4$ (for all mains), +2$ for additional harm/adlib layer
Time: 6$ (for all mains), +3$ for additional harm/adlib layer
Mix: 10$

Duets & Trios (3 weeks max)
Tune: 3$ per peron, +2$ for additional harm/adlib layer
Time: 6$ per person, +3$ for additional harm/adlib layer
Mix: 18$ for duet, 27$ for trio


Choruses (no person limit, 6 weeks max but ETA may vary)
I will be willing to tune, but not time; please commission me if files are tune/timed or at least timed!
Tune: 3$ per person, +2$ for additional harm/adlib layer
Mix: 36$ base price (4 vocalists), +6$ per additional vocalist

Note: for non-solos, if the script is very complicated and requires a lot more voluming work than usual, price may be adjusted to around 20% more added to the base mix price. If the song is very fast and requires lots of editing work, assume +2$ to the base tune/time prices.

Additions (applied at the end)
+2$ for artificial harmony layer (not recommended for acoustic/ballads)
+5$ for simple glitching
+2$~5$ for vocoding + vocoded harms
+2$ for autotune effect (short segments are free)
+5$ for every week rushed
-40% for tv size

First of all, thank you immensely for considering my voice in the first place! I am still not too experienced in taking vocal commissions but I have been inquired for them before so these will be open with no slot limits for the time being!

  • I can sing in English, Korean, and Japanese. I'm fluent in English and Korean, but not in Japanese; please correct me for any pronunciation/intonation mistakes if there happens to be any!

  • I can sing demo vocals for another singer, test your vocal melody to hear how it sounds like when sung, or sing for your original song. Quality and price will vary accordingly.

  • I use an AT2035 + Behringer U-Phoria UM2 to record. I am aware of how much technique can affect my recording quality, so I will try my utmost best to bring you the highest quality lines as possible.

  • My range is F3-C6. Most comfortable belting range is C4-D5, but I can belt lower/higher depending on the song. I can also try to alter my tone to sound slightly higher or lower, so please discuss with me what style you'd like me to sing in!

  • I do not write lyrics nor melodies, so please provide a guide! However, I am willing to add original harmonies and adlibs if you'd like.

  • I am very willing to tune/time my lines if you are inexperienced to vocal editing. Please please let me know if you'd like me to at least roughly edit them!

Price may vary depending on length, difficulty, complexity, # of vocal layers, deadline, editing fee and commercial fee. Below is just a rough estimate; please discuss with me for further details! I am very open to negotiating prices. ETA will also vary, but at minimum will take 2 weeks!

(e.g: a fast, upbeat song where most lines are doubled, lots of high range belting, lots of harmonies, editing included, and sold commercially can be around 100$ while a short acoustic song with one main track for non-commercial release can be 20$)
